Railroad spike
Railroad spike, also called cut spike, is used to secure rails and base plates to railroad ties in the track, it is also used with rail clip, rail clamp and other rail fasteners in rail fastening system. Railway spike can be classified into two types: dog spike and screw spike.
Dog Spike
A dog spike has a square section in horizontal direction and has a pointed penetrating head. The head of dog spike has two lugs on either side, so it gives people the impression of a dog's head. AGICO can produce 5/8*6 '', 9/16*5-1/2 '', 3/8''*3-1/2 '', 1/2*3-1/2 rail spikes, and other kind of dog spikes according to customers’ requirements. The most common railroad spikes are 5/8*6 '' and 9/16*5-1/2 '' for smaller rail section used in North America or US railway.

Screw Spike
Screw spike is one kind of commonly used spikes and it is often used with the plastic sleeve casted in the concrete sleeper. The screw spikes are usually applied in rail fastening system to fasten the rails and sleepers with rail clips. Screw spikes are various in sizes to suit different applications. There are mainly four types of screw spikes, Ss series Sleeper Screw, Square head screw spike, Hexagon screw spike and Double-head screw spike.

Double-Head Screw Spike
Double-head screw spike is usually used in Nabla clip fastening system, and it is widely used in Africa. The two-end-head screw spikes AGICO made meet the strict bending requirement of having no crack on the surface after bending 30 degrees or even more.
